big fat lie?

neil and i are in a renewed quest to educate ourselves on the real evidence existing on the connection between saturated fats, carbohydrates, cholesterol and heart disease/chronic diseases like type II diabetes. Last year we posted the article, what if it has all been a big fat lie? on this blog...a wordy article, i am not sure how many people took the time to read it, but it explores yet another media myth: the alleged connection between fat, cholesterol and heart disease. A myth so ingrained in our cultural fiber it has become a well known "fact" that meat and saturated fats cause cholesterol and heart disease. This little educational piece is not meant to be anti-vegetarian, only pro thinking outside what we have been told is true. Here is a fun little video, the beginnings of a movie, that explains volumes of nutritional anthropology, scientific research and studies in less than 3 minutes.
